UK Child Car Seat Regulations: Ensuring Safety for Young Passengers

Mandatory Use Until Age 12 or 135cm

Children must use an appropriate child car seat until they reach 12 years old or 135 centimeters in height, whichever comes first.

Unexpected Journeys

- Children aged 3 or older can use an adult seat belt in the rear seat. – Children under 3 cannot travel without a suitable child seat, except in taxis as noted above.
