JetBlue and Delta Named Among the World’s Safest Airlines for 2026
According to AirlineRatings.com, two of Logan International Airport’s top airlines prioritize safety. Delta Air Lines ranks among the 25 safest full-service airlines for 2026, while JetBlue is listed among the 25 safest low-cost carriers, according to AirlineRatings.com, a website that monitors the safety and performance of 320 airlines.
Each year, AirlineRatings.com evaluates and names the safest airlines based on factors such as fleet age, history of serious incidents, incident rates relative to total flights, pilot training, and results from international safety audits.

“One change for this year is that we are placing greater emphasis on turbulence prevention, as it remains the leading cause of in-flight injuries,” said CEO Sharon Petersen in a statement about the rankings.
Accordingly, AirlineRatings.com considered each airline’s participation in the IATA Turbulence Aware program, along with its own onboard safety audit, Petersen explained.
She also noted that the margins between the world’s safest airlines are narrow, and small numerical differences should not be interpreted as gaps in safety.
