JetBlue travelers looking for direct flights from Sacramento International Airport to New York City and Boston this winter will be disappointed.
The airline has announced that it will halt service from SMF to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport beginning October 27 and to Boston Logan International Airport starting September 3.
JetBlue is continually assessing our routes to better serve our customers, return our airline to profitability, and enhance our reliability,” the airline stated to KCRA 3.
JetBlue attributed the Sacramento route suspensions to a “broader initiative to refocus our network.” A spokesperson for Sacramento County confirmed that no other airline currently offers nonstop service to those destinations from SMF.
