  • PublishedMarch 20, 2024

The Delhi Traffic Police will close a section of the Ring Road near Punjabi Bagh Bharat Darshan Park for a minimum of two months due to subway construction.

The convergence of subway construction, flyover construction, and underground cabling work has caused significant congestion in the area, prompting the traffic police to implement road closures and diversions to alleviate the traffic jams.

As per the advisory, traffic traveling from Moti Nagar to Punjabi Bagh roundabout, heading towards Vashisht Kumar Gulla Marg, has been redirected. Barricades have been installed along the Ring Road for traffic diversions. Expect heavy traffic on Shiv Das Puri Marg, Road Number 41 near Punjabi Bagh Gurudwara, and near the Traffic Training Park

Drivers traveling from Moti Nagar via the Karampura flyover towards Punjabi Bagh roundabout through the Bharat Darshan Park side, and intending to reach the Ring Road, are recommended to follow this route: Take Vashisht Kumar Gulla Marg, make a right turn onto Road Number 41, then turn right at the Traffic Training Park, and finally, make a left towards Punjabi Bagh roundabout, as advised.

The traffic police have also recommended that commuters traveling from the Raja Garden side and heading towards Punjabi Bagh roundabout use the newly constructed flyover. For commuters coming from the Dhaula Kuan side and heading towards Zakhira, it’s advised to make a right turn from Raja Garden Chowk onto Shivaji Marg to reach Zakhira.

Drivers have also received guidance to maintain patience and adhere to traffic regulations to ensure the smooth flow of traffic.
