British Airways will increase long-haul capacity from London to destinations across Asia, the US, and the Middle East as part of its summer 2026 schedule.

The UK carrier plans to extend its existing winter-only London Gatwick–Bangkok service into a year-round operation, maintaining three weekly flights to the Thai capital during the summer season. In addition, British Airways will raise the frequency on this route to six flights per week for the winter 2026–27 schedule.

In the key transatlantic market, British Airways will operate a double-daily service between London Heathrow and Miami during summer 2026, while also reinstating its daily flights from Heathrow to Dallas-Fort Worth. Additional changes include an increase in Heathrow–Las Vegas flights from 10 to 13 per week, along with British Airways operating 14 weekly services from Heathrow to both San Diego and Austin.

British Airways has further confirmed that, starting in summer 2026, all flights to New York’s JFK Airport will operate exclusively from Heathrow, with nine daily services on the route. However, this adjustment will result in the discontinuation of the current London Gatwick–JFK service.

In the Middle East, British Airways will more than double its flights from Heathrow to Bahrain next summer as the route transitions to a daily service. The carrier will also operate 14 weekly flights to Doha in Qatar, while increasing services to Saudi Arabia with 14 flights per week to Riyadh and five weekly flights to Jeddah.

Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ chief planning and strategy officer, said: Whether travelling for business, leisure, or to visit loved ones, we hope customers take full advantage of these additional flights. The expanded schedule provides greater choice and convenience, making it easier than ever to connect with their favourite destinations across the globe.
