Etihad launches a non-stop flight to Boston
Etihad Airways introduces a new four-times-weekly service between Abu Dhabi and Boston Logan International Airport, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. This direct route enhances travel opportunities for both business and leisure travelers, offering seamless connections to destinations throughout the Middle East and India. Utilizing its fleet of Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, the UAE’s national carrier aims to provide convenient and reliable air travel options effective March 31st.
Flight information
Flight EY147 is scheduled to depart from Zayed International Airport (AUH) at 03:10 AM local time and land in BOS at 08:50 AM local time. Conversely, the return journey, EY148, will depart from BOS at 04:00 PM local time and arrive in AUH at 12:05 AM local time.
Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways, conveyed his excitement, stating, “This fresh route not only introduces the charm of Abu Dhabi and Dubai to the American Northeast but also underscores our dedication to providing outstanding travel experiences and nurturing global connections.”
Ed Freni, Interim CEO and Aviation Director of the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), responsible for overseeing BOS, expressed his satisfaction with the new route, highlighting, “This connection is vital for linking Boston with the UAE, offering New Englanders expanded travel choices for journeys to the Middle East and beyond.”

Boston now stands as Etihad’s fourth destination in the US, alongside Chicago, New York, and Washington. Additionally, the inclusion of flights to Toronto in Canada enhances Etihad’s footprint in North America, providing passengers with greater accessibility and convenience.
Expansion of the network
As a key component of its comprehensive strategy, Etihad is persistently broadening its worldwide network, with recent initiatives concentrated on augmenting services between Abu Dhabi and Rome.
Effective from November 1st, the airline will elevate its weekly flights to Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) from 11 to twice daily, utilizing its fleet of 777 and 787 aircraft.
Additionally, Etihad has intensified flight frequencies to significant destinations throughout the Middle East and the Indian subcontinent. This encompasses enhanced services to Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, Amman in Jordan, Beirut in Lebanon, as well as Colombo in Sri Lanka, and Kolkata and Bangalore in India.
